So today I went and did cardio first thing, to try not to be the fattest woman at the Arnold.
1.5 miles on the treadmill, 6.5-7.5 mph
2 miles on the bike
.75 miles on the treadmill, 3.5 mph from 0-15% incline.
Stretched.
On related yet somewhat unrelated news...
While I was at the gym this morning, I got invited to compete at the CrossFit games in July.
See? All the running pays off.

I am fairly incapable of morning workouts. When I was in college, I had an 8:00 lifting class. I'd go at 8, sit for an hour, and then go back in the afternoon and work out for real.
Tonight my workout consisted of running the video camera.
Now I'm watching Biggest Loser, since I won't be eating for the next two days.

Day 1 of my Arnold Adventure.
So this morning I woke up at 3:00 and headed to SFO. I got to my gate about an hour early, which also happened to be next to the food place. Argh. Made my way to Columbus via Cincinnati, got my rental car, got checked into my hotel, and then went for an adventure in downtown Columbus. I found the Convention Center pretty easily, only to wander around for a while to find out that equipment check wasn't actually at the meet venue, but some hotel that I hadn't bothered to look up before I left. Since the hotel had "University" in the name, I just decided to head in the direction of OSU. I did find a Target along the way, which was good, since I had to stock up on Pedialyte and Lucky Charms. After some consultation, I learned that the hotel was actually on the same street as Target, and I meandered my way through the OSU campus to find it. It was rather infuriating actually, seeing all the Buckeye fans, but then I guess this is where they come from...
So, I get to equipment check. It's equipment check for a raw meet. How hard can it be? Well, apparently pretty hard. All my actual equipment got ok'd just fine, except for my WILD IRON T-shirt. Apparently, we're not registered with the USAPL, so I can't wear it. So then I had to take a trip to Old Navy to try to find a USAPL-legal shirt. It's actually kind of hard. No v-neck, cotton or polyester, with sleeves that terminate between the deltoid and the elbow. Oh, and no non-USAPL-sponsored logos. My new shirt is lavender. It's so manly.
So, now I'm going to go run the shower for a while. I was 132.5 when I woke up this morning, but it's going to be a close race tomorrow, so every pound is going to help...
More updates to come.

consultation = taking away from Bill's productivity to navigate her to the hotel via google maps across the country.

Hey, I tried getting a hold of the people that were going the same place as me, but they're GPS babies, so they can't give real directions. And it's not like you're that productive anyway.
