What variations are there to these?

I have access to a pair of average bands and a pair of mini bands and a small amount of chains.

I have done a 3 week cycle with the averages and was thinking of doing a reverse band cycle with the averages. Would this be good?

I am finding that at the bottom of the squat there is not enough band tension so how could I rectify this. I am choking my bands around DBs.

Thanks.

If possible, choke the bands directly to the rack. If this isn't an option here are three ideas to get more tension in the bottom:

1. Put a 2x4 on top of the dumbbell and run the band around the dumbbell handle and the 2x4 at the same time.

2. Use two dumbbells on each side and run the band around both handles.

3. Hook everything up like you normally do. Then, take one strand of the band that is running around the bar and pull it under the bar and back over the top.

I would not do a DE squat cycle with reverse average bands. Not saying you can't, though.
