Saw The Hobbit in Imax 3D. It's overly long but not ponderous, like I feared. However...it looked like crap most of the time. Felt out of focus. Left with a big headache. The only reason to see it in Imax is the Star Trek preview footage (which tells you pretty much nothing about where that film is going). Absent that, I would have seen it in 24 fps 2D on a normal screen and avoided the headache.
